The Laughlin Inspirational Choir

The Laughlin Inspirational Choir
was re-organized under the prayerful dedication of the late Mrs. Louise Russell Isley. Mrs. Isley felt that the young adults of Laughlin could and should be more active in worship and service at Laughlin. Mrs. Thelma Spruill Robinson (deceased) coordinated the initial rehearsals and music ministry during weekly worship services. The choir was blessed with the contemporary gospel talent of Thelma’s brother, John Spruill, II. Over the following weeks and months the choir grew in number and the anointing to minister gospel and inspirational music fell upon the group. John served as director/musician from 1979 till 1988 and guided the choir into a fundamental “worshipful music style” which remains today. The Inspirational Choir’s public debut was Sunday, October 26, 1979 at its Annual Homecoming worship service..
