Our Purpose
There are two very important statements that guide us on our path to being true Disciples, our Mission and Vision statements.
Our Mission is to:
Develop and provide ministries which are “Christ Centered.”
Invite and welcome the diversity within our community.
Re-enforce historical Christian beliefs
Celebrate the life of the Church.
Fully utilize our gifts and talents for God’s glory and the betterment of the world.
Share God’s love and to make disciples for Christ.
Our Mission statement talks about how we will get to where we want to be. It answers the questions, “What do we do? What makes us different?”
Our Mission statement talks about the present leading into the future.
Our Vision is to be a:
Spirit-filled diverse church guided by the Holy Spirit, loving God, loving people, walking in the light and making disciples of Jesus Christ everywhere we go!”
Our Vision statement answers the questions, “What do we want to be going forward? How do we want to do it?” In other words, it addresses our future.
Prayer of Commitment:
“Instead of pointing out who works well and who does not work well, instead of nit-picking about someone’s flaws, if we gather our hearts, work towards the same objectives, and enthusiastically do God’s work, everything will be fulfilled. Amen
